Tiny portable house, no more than parking spot, is a new concept for the people who migrate a lot, for the people who have a low budget, for slum development or for the people who are unable to participate in traditional house. Now a days new construction techniques and material is adopted for good living standard.
This technique considered all the factors like sufficient space for living, economy, environmental issues, portability of house and living standard. Nowadays Government is contributing for rural development so it will be helpful for it.
This house has been designed with considerations of nominal sizes of various units of house like hall, bedroom, kitchen etc. This tiny house includes 1 room with intermediate floor, kitchen, bathroom & wc. This concept is totally based on economy, living for homeless and portability, foldability.
Problems of housing
Access to decent and affordable housing is a fundamental human right that is “essential to the well-being of the individual, family and community”. While many Indians have done well outside of the housing market, there is a growing group of people who do not have access to affordable housing. The housing affordability crisis has developed over the last few years. One of the biggest problems low-income Indian facing today is to find a household which is affordable, safe and decent.
Innovative approach of housing
- In the concept of new tiny house, the floor area is minimum by proper arranging the bedroom inside the house by replacing the brick and concrete.
- The dead load of different members like beam, column, wall, slab etc., is reduced by replacing it with advance material.
- Generally, houses do not have a folding structure, but through this concept, the house can be folded and brought to a desired location. The design of the folding mechanism allows 7-8 people to easily lift the entire structure.
Cost effectiveness
- By reducing the extensive use of steel and concrete, we can reduce the overall cost of the project by replacing with new materials such as aluminum, fiber cement, concrete and roofing materials.
- The estimated cost of the house is approximately 68,000/- including manufacturing costs.
- If we are considering implementing this project on a large scale, we can minimize the total cost through appropriate plans and discounts from material suppliers.
- We require the less skilled labor for completion, so labor cost will be reduced.
Area management
- Total area of this house is 200 sq. Ft.
- All units are arranged in such a manner that area should be minimized considering nominal sizes of each unit.
- Intermediate slab is introduced which can be used as a bedroom.
